Mamata calls on NDA ally Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thakre in Mumbai

Chief Minister and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee,on a three-day trip to Maharastra to get investment for WestBengal, today called on Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thakrey in a Mumbai hotel but whattranspired between the two leaders could not be ascertained yet.

Sena Uddhav in his twitter account released a picture showing that the two leaders and Sena chief son holding a bouquet together.

Shiv Sena sources said it was a courtesy call on behalf of the visiting West Bengal chief minister.

Shiv Sena is one of the NDA allies in the Maharastra government as well as at the Centre headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi of BJP.

During demontisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 on November 8 last year, the Mamata Banerjee government and her party Trinamool Congress vehemently opposed as well as took to the streets against the Centre. The Sena had supported her move.

But the latest meeting between supremos of Shiv Sena and TMC, though described as a courtesy call, but speculations started fueling in the political circles as the political parties are gearing up to have an understanding with eye poll of Lok Sabha next year.
