Modi Presents Prime Minister’s Trophy to TATA Steel For Outstanding Performance

Tata Steel Limited was conferred with the Prime Minister’s trophy today here for being the ‘Best Performing Integrated Steel Plant’ in the country during the performance year 2010-2011.
In recognition of the company’s outstanding performance, the trophy was presented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Managing Director, India and South East Asia, Tata Steel TV Narendran.
The company was adjudged as the best steel plant for the eighth time since this trophy was instituted in 1992-93. Speaking on the occasion, Narendran said it has always been the endeavour to set the benchmark of excellence inefficiency, quality and sustainability in all the operations.
“This award will greatly motivate us to create higher benchmarks in the steel industry. Tata Steel has been the framework of mutual understanding amongst all stakeholders, helping us take the company forward in all respects”
Congratulating the management and employees of Tata Steel for the excellent performance in both the years, Modi, expressed confidence in the company and its management, considering them as partners in his ‘Make in India’ mission for the nation stating the company as being true nation builders
