Modi visits Terracota warriors museum, Da Xing Shan temple in China

After M Modi visits Terracota warriors museum, Da Xing Shan temple in Chinaa warm welcome at Xian airport on his arrival this morning, Prime Minster Narendra Modi visited the Terracota warriors museum and Da Xing Shan temple.
Built originally in the Western Jin Dynasty era in the second and third century, the temple has a rich Indian connection. Several famous Indian scholars including those from the renowned Nalanda University stayed in the temple.
They made seminal contribution in not only translating Indian works into Chinese but also in building special bonds between the two countries.
The temple is regarded as the ancestor court of Mi school of Chinese Buddism. Modi’s visit to the temple highlights the centuries old cultural bonds between the two countries.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to hold talks with the Chinese President later in the day.
