Narendra Modi Is BJP’s Face In Bihar Polls : Ananth Kumar

16 June, New Delhi/ Patna

BJP Tuesday made it clear that it would contest the forthcoming state assembly polls in Bihar in the name of Prime Minister and Party leader Narendra Modi.

The partys Bihar state incharge, Ananth Kumar cleared the air about it here today and said there was no confusion on that count and BJP had fought polls in all states in name of Modi. The strategy, he said, has paid off ever since the general elections for Lok sabha last year.

Ananth Kumar also said there was no death of leadership in the state , but Mr Narendra Modi will be the party face there. His observations came close on the heels of repeated challenge thrown by JD(U) and RJD to name their face at the hustings. Notably, the JD(U) and RJD had again projected Nitish Kumar as their CM’s candidate there.

In other development, BJP leader Sushil Modi has poked fun on RJD leader Laloo Prasad Yadav and said he should openly declare that no member of his family would be in race of any post.

Yadav in a micro blogging site had described the BJP as nir vansh ( without any family and descendent). He said the BJP had no face in the state.

Sushil Modi said Laloo Prasad Yadav would never be able to come out of family and descendents within his own parivar. JD (U) leader KC Tyagi in the National Capital said, the BJP had no credible face there and ultimately they would come out with choice typical of Kiran Bedi type.
