New-Look Team India Take On Zimbabwe In First ODI Friday

The stinging series loss to Bangladesh will be at the back of their minds when a new-look Team India takes the field in the first of the three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe here tomorrow, Friday.

It was in 2013 when India last visited Zimbabwe and the Virat Kohli-led side whitewashed the hosts 5-0. This time, however, things appear to be different with India being pushed back to the wall after the full strength men-in-blue lost 1-2 to Bangladesh last month.

Faced with massive criticism from all quarters, Indian selectors decided to rest the seniors including regular ODI skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Test skipper Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina and Ravichandran Ashwin.
