Nitish -Lalu Alliance Destined To Lose Bihar Polls: Paswan
19 June, Bengaluru
Union Food and Civil Supplies Minister RamVilas Paswan Friday termed the electoral pact between Janata Dal(U)and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) as a perfect recepie for disaster and NDA led by the BJP will emerge victorious in the coming Bihar Assembly Elections.
Speaking to reporters here, he said Bihar Chief Minister NitishKumar had entered into a ‘unholy’ alliance with RJD Leader Lalu Prasad Yadav and people of Bihar would teach them a ‘bitter lesson’. ”You know how Mr Kumar projected himself as the face of clean politician during the JD(U)-BJP Coalition Government. But now his real face is there for all of us to see. This alliance is based on an illegitimate relationship. It is evident that the two leaders shake hands with one hand and hold adagger on the other. The two are gunning to defeat each other and the ultimate result will be the same,” he quipped.
Paswan said the NDA would take the fight to the rival citadelwith the same strategy adopted in Maharashtra, Jharkhandand Haryana in the recent times and win the election.
Ruling out himself as the Chief Minister candidate, he said he was now a Central Minister and would remain so.
He said previously Former Prime Ministers V P Singh and A B Vajpayee had both wanted him to become the Chief Minister but he turned it down. ”I am not in this race,” he stated.
BJP was the major party in Bihar now and LJP its minor ally. It will stick to its position and fully back whatever decision Prime Minister Narendra Modi took on any issue relating to Bihar election before and after the polls, he said. ”Mr Kumar has little to proclaim and even today you can see jungle raj prevailing in Bihar with murders, rapes and violence continuing,” he alleged.
Paswan said Congress will return with an empty hand in Bihar.
