PM Modi Describes Three-Day Visit TO Canada As Historic

The Prime Minister has described his three-day visit to Canada as historic.
Speaking at the dinner reception hosted in his honour by the Canadian Prime Minister in Vancouver Friday y, Modi said that the two countries will work and talk together and in the process both the countries will be benefited. He complimented his Canadian counterpart for his leadership.
Modi’s visit to Canada stands alone after 42 years.
Earlier speaking on the occasion Canadian Prime Minister Stephan Harper described Modi as a great leader.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Vancouver Friday in the last leg of his three nation tour . He was received by his Canadian counterpart Stephan Harper and his cabinet colleagues.
Prime Minister first visited a local Gurudwara in Vancouver. In his brief submission, Modi said Gujarat has a long association with Sikhism. He was given a Saropa by the Priests at the Gurudwara.
Prime Minister also visited Lakshmi Narayan Temple where he addressed gathering of people. In his speech Modi said, that he requested United Nations to observe June 21 as ‘World Yoga Day’ which was approved by the UN within 125 days.
He appealed Indian community to promote Yoga wherever they are, and said Yoga is very important for balance between nature and mankind.
Speaking inside the temple, Canadian Prime Minister Stephan Harper said he appreciates Narendra Modi’s vision, his character and his capabilities and Modi is working for the prosperity of India.
He said, India and Canada share common values of justice, peace, democracy and desire for building economic partnership in growth and prosperity. The Canadian Prime Minister said, India has changed a lot and it has enormous potential for partnership in different areas of economy.
