PM To Lay Foundation For Knowledge Resources Center For S&T

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will layfoundation stone for construction of Knowledge Resources Center forScience and Technology (KRCST) by the JSS Maha Vidyapeetha at Sutturin the District on January Two, JSS University, a Deemed to be aUniversity, Vice Chancellor Prof B Suresh said Tuesday.

Talking to newsmen here, he said that the Rs 17 Crore project willbe taken up with financial support from the Centre and StateGovernments, JSS Maha Vidyapeteha. R and D Institutions andindustrial houses and contribution from Philanthropists. The technical support for the project is provided by Department ofScience and Technology.

The Karnataka government has already sanctioned Rs 5 crore for the Centre.

Mr Suresh said that the Centre is proposed to be competed in 2016and will be dedicated to the nation during the centenarycelebrations of the birth anniversary of the founder President SriShivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji the guiding spirit behind the JSSMVP.

He said that the JSSMVP will soon establish Skill DevelopmentCenters in Mysuru, Chamarajanagara, Mandya, Dharwad in Karnataka,Nilgiris and Sathyamangalam in Tamil Nadu and at Noida in UP.
