Rahul Gandhi Plays Caste Card In Ambedkar’s Birth Place

02 June, Mhow

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, whose recent public appearances appear to be part of a rearguard action after his party’s chain of disastrous electoral performances, Tuesday hinted that economic power would play the role of a ”Brahmastra in gradually demolishing the walls of casteism”.

Addressing a gathering here, Gandhi said, ”Casteism is a truth and it weakens all of us. Babasaheb Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkars life teaches us that change does not come easily.
The weak have been suppressed for millennia and the circumstances will not change overnight, he said.

” He added, ”It is the responsibility of every citizen, including you and me, besides the Congress to stamp out casteism and thereby fulfil Babasahebs mission”.

Mhow is Ambedkars birthplace where his 125th birth anniversary year is being celebrated.

”Until people are kept away from their rights, the countrys progress is impossible.Youth should transform into entrepreneurs,” the Congress leader said
