Railway Budget Reaction : Opposition Expresses Disappointment

Opposition parties have expressed disappointment over the Rail Budget. Congress leader Rajiv Shukla said, the budget has not fulfilled the aspirations of the common man.
Talking to reporters outside Parliament, Shukla said, there was no announcement related to the new trains in the budget.He said there is nothing new in the budget and only UPA policies have been repackaged.
BSP chief Ms Mayawati said, several new announcements were made in the budget, but the Railways Minister did not informed that how many projects introduced in previous Rail budget have been implemented this time.
She said, there is no improvement in condition of Indian Railways in the last nine months.
Former Railway Minister and TMC leader Dinesh Trivedi termed the rail budget as disappointing. He told reporters that mere promises have been made and it lacks a proper roadmap.
JD (U) leader Pawan Verma said the budget lacks substance.
He said, there is no mention in it on how to upgrade technology and safety in the Railways.
