Ratan Tata Inaugurates India’s Biggest Techology Incubator

Tata Sons Emeritus Chairman Ratan Tata inaugurated the first phase of the T-hub with world class infrastructure ,the Telangana government’s ambitious start-up incubator, at International Institute for Information Technology (IIIT-Hyderabad) campus in Gachibwli near here Thursday.

AP and Telangana States common Governor E.S.L.Narasimhan and IT minister K.Taraka Rama Rao were among those present at the inaugural function.

Touted as the country’s largest technology incubator, the T-hub is a result of collaborative efforts from the Indian school of Business,the International Institute of Information Technology-Hyderabad (IIIT,H) and NALSAR University of Law

The state government had spent Rs.40 crore for setting up of the first phase of the project called “Catalyst” with a 70,000 sq ft built up area on the IIIT-H campus.

The T-hub offers infrastructure facilities to prospective software firms for a fee.
The start up incubator has already tied-up with 20 venture capital,according the state government officials.

About 140 start-ups and organisations have already signed up to occupy seats and cabin-sin catalyst building and 170 more are in the waiting list.
