Rawal Flays Aamir; Says True Patriot Won’t Run Away From ‘Troubled Motherland’

Joining the bandwagon of those slamming Bollywood actor Aamir Khan over his “intolerance statement”, veteran actor turned-politician Paresh Rawal today said a true patriot will not run away, ”when his motherland is in trouble”.

In a series of tweets on micro blogging site Twitter, the BJP MP from Gujarat wrote, “A true patriot will not run away n leave his motherland behind in turmoil or in troubled times (if any )…don’t escape – build it ..””If I believe this is my motherland then I will never talk about leaving it ….but I would if I had believed otherwise…”

In another tweet, the actor questioned Aamir’s statement, exemplifying with his blockbuster movie PK.”Intolerance! PK did rattle the belief of Hindus but Aamir dint face the wrath of Hindu or THE MAJORITY n but was super hit n made crores !.”

On a lighter note, Rawal said, “Thanks Aamir for taking away nations attention from Lalu -arvinds jaadu ki jhappi ! It’s a joke so be tolerant !”

The comments comes a day after Aamir, during an event in the national capital said he was alarmed on the increasing number of communal incidents in the country and that his wife Kiran Rao had even suggested him that they should move out of the country for safe future of their child.
