Retail inflation in January stands at 5.11 per cent.

Union Government has revised the base year for calculating Consumer Price Index from 2010 to 2012. On the basis of the new base year, retail inflation for the month of January stood at 5.11 per cent.

According to data released by Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, industrial production grew at 1.7 per cent in December as against 3.8 per cent in November last year.
