Rose valley chit fund scam: Court rejects TMC MP Sudip’s bail plea

Khordha District and Sessions Judge Court today rejected the bail plea of Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay, arrested by the CBI and lodged in Jharpada jail here in connection with the Rose Valley Group chit fund scam.

Bandhopadhya, a four time MP,is the second MP from the AITC after Tapas Pal who has been sent to judicial remand for his alleged that involvement in the Rose Valley Group Chit Fund scam.

The Rose valley group is alleged that to have illegally raised more than Rs 17,000 crore from the people in West Bengal, Tripura, Assam, Odisha, Jharkhand and Maharashtra after promising them with high return.
