SW Monsoon Advances Into Coastal AP,NW Bay Of Bengal , Parts Of Odisha, West Bengal

Conditions are becoming favourable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon into remaining parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh, Northwest Bay of Bengal, some more parts of Odisha, West Bengal and some parts of Jharkhand and Bihar during the next 3-4 days.
The Southwest Monsoon has been active over Konkan, Goa, Vidarbha and Telangana, while it has been subdued over Rayalaseema. Trough of Low Pressure has formed from Orissa to South Coastal Tamil Nadu for further advancement ofSouth West Monsoon into remaining parts of north coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next 48 hours, a UNIreport from Visakhapatnam said.
According to Cyclone Warning Centre (CWC) spokesman, the Monsoon has been vigorous over coastal districts of west and east Godavari. Thunderstorms with squall would occur at isolated places over west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab and north Rajasthan during next 24 hours.
Heavy rain would occur at isolated places over Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Konkan and Goa during the period. In the regions where the Southwest Monsoon is yet to set in, day temperatures were appreciably above normal in some parts of Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha.
They were markedly below normal in Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi. They were appreciably to markedly below normal in Punjab, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, and in some parts of west Uttar Pradesh.
They were appreciably below normal in some parts of Jharkhand, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand and below normal in some parts of Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Rajasthan, and in remaining parts of Gangetic West Bengal and west Uttar Pradesh.
The highest maximum temperature of 40.1 degree Celsius has been recorded at Barmer and Jalore (west Rajasthan) in the plains of the country.
A report from Hyderabad said conditions are favourable for advance of South West monsoon into the remaining parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh during next three to four days.Under its influence, heavy rain would occur at isolated places in the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari and West Godavari district of coastal Andhra Pradesh during next 48 hours, the MET office said in its bulletin today. Moderate to rather heavy rain or thundershowers would occur at a few places over Rayalaseema during the same period.
Outlook subsequent for next three days indicated there would no large change. A report from Lucknow, quoting Met office said, monsoon is expected to hit the plains of Uttar Pradesh by the next week. Drizzle, dust storms and cool breeze have given respite from the sweltering heat which paralysed normal life. There was a tremendous fall in the temperature in Azamgarh, Gorakhpur, Bareilly and Agra divisions, during the past 24 hours.
