Swine Flu deaths in Gujarat touch 256

Swine flu has claimed 9 more lives taking the total number of deaths to 256 since January in Gujarat.

Three deaths were reported from Ahmedabad district, while one death reported from Surat, Vadodara, Gandhinagar, Amreli, Surendranagar and Banaskantha districts each.

According to Health Department sources, as many as 212 new cases of swine flu were reported across the state taking the total number of cases to 4162 till date.

Maximum 90 cases have been reported from Ahmedabad district, while Surat district has reported 19 new cases during last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, state Government has claimed that more 201 patients have been cured and discharged from the hospitals yesterday. Thus total number of patients cured from swine flu till now has reached to 2719.
