Terror Attack on Police Station In J&K Leaves 6 persons including 3 Police dead

The terror attack on a police station in Kathua district in jammua and Kashmir Friday left six people dead. Three security personnel and a civilian lost their lives while two militants were gunned down.
According to police, the fierce gun battle which started after the terror attack on the police station in Rajbagh area of the district lasted for almost six hours.

The indiscriminate firing by the holed-up militants also injured eleven other people including a sub divisional police officer and nine security personnel.
The Inspector General of Police Jammu Danish Rana told media persons that with the killing of both the militants, the operation of security forces was over. Two AK 47 rifles and a huge quantity of arms and ammunition have been recovered from the possession of the slain militants whose identity is yet being ascertained.
AIR correspondent reports, two militants in Army uniform who stormed the Rajbagh police station in the border district around 6:30 this morning, earlier intercepted a jeep on the Jammu Pathankote National Highway on the pretext of checking it. The ultras then hijacked the jeep with three passengers on board and fled towards the Rajbagh Police Station.
The terror attack also rocked the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly and the opposition demanded an explanation from the government in this regard.
Two years ago also the terrorists attacked on Police Station in Hiranagar area of this Kathua district which has left thirteen persons including three militants killed. District Kathua of Jammu region has its boundaries along with the Indo-Pak International Border.
