Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu Favours Nation-Wide Debate Over Land Bill

Union Urban Development and Parliamentary Affairs Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu Monday favoured an in-depth debate nation-wide over the Land Acquisition Bill.

Addressing a press conference in Hyderabad, he said, it is a pro-farmer Bill and helps reducing poverty.

He further alleged that the opposition including Congress and left parties, launched a disinformation campaign against the Bill out of political rivalry.

Stating that the time limit of the ordinance relating to the land acquisition will come to an end during the first week of April, Naidu said, all options are open for the government as per the the Constitution.
