UP : Congress MP Sanjay Singh’s Son Arrested In Case Of Killing A Constable

Uttar Pradesh Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh’s estranged son Anant Vikram Singh was arrested on Saturday in connection with the killing of a constable in Amethi last year during a clash between supporters of the father and son over ownership of the ancestral palace- Bhupati Bhawan.

Soon after the arrest, the police produced Anant before the chief judicial magistrate (CJM) court which remanded him to 14-day judicial custody.

Hundreds of his supporters assembled at the court premises and raised slogans. Anant Vikram Singh is a BJP member.

Police constable Vijay Kumar Mishra was killed on September 14 last year in a clash between the supporters of Sanjay Singh and Anant Vikram Singh. An FIR was registered against Anant and his supporters.
