US company Optimistic About India’s Infrastructure Scenario

Expressing satisfaction about the NDA Government’s effort to boost infrastructure projects in a big way, global Construction, Mining equipment major Caterpillar Wednesday said that it was optimstic about Indian growth initiatives and would proactively work for attaining the goal.
The global major which has five manufacturing centres in India catering to its needs said that its action in India’s growth story will be visible once the infrastructure works take off across the country.
Company’s Sales and Marketing Director for Greater China, India and East Asia John Fallows said that his organisation’s optimism on India was based on the country’s need for building infrastructure projects.
The company which had its presence in the country even before Indian Independence was actively participating in major projects like Hirakud reservoir in Odisha and the building of world class highways under Golden Quadrilateral scheme.
Caterpillar also announced the launch of its popular B3 seriesSkid Steer Loader (SSL) for the Indian market at the Excon 2015. The company’s launch of Cat 216B3 to mark its entry into growing skidsteer loader SSL segment.
It would also showcase its Cat 424B Backhoe Loader at the Excon 2015.
The Company on its part of ‘Make in India’ initiative would be manufacturing the B3 series of SKL at its production capacity of Thiruvalluvar, Tamil Nadu, said Pollack Andy Dhanraj
“Infact this is the first facility to manufacture these machines outside United States,” he added.
