WB Police Identifies 3 Of Gang Members Involved in Nadia Nun Gang Rape , Announces Cash Award To Nab Culprits

West Benga l CID has started probe over the alleged gang rape of a Nun inside a Convent School in Nadia District.

Senior CID officials along with forensic expert, have visited the spot and collected finger prints and other samples.

The Police said that three of the gang members have been identified from CCTV footage. They also announced a cash reward of one lakh rupee for helping them to nab the culprit.

A group of armed men entered into the school on Friday night for dacoity and allegedly gang raped the sister who tried to resist them.

The Nun is critically injured and is still under treatment in a hospital in the district. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has strongly condemned the act and assured speedy action against culprits.

Opposition CPI(M), Congress and BJP have blamed the ruling Trinamool-led government for the incident citing it is an example of sharp deterioration of law and order in the state.
