Info Valley-2 To Be Commissioned By June 2018

The INFO VALLEY-2 is likely to be commissioned by June 2018, Odisha Minister for IT Pranab Prakash Das said here Tuesday.

After reviewing the progress of the construction work of Info valley-2 at a meeting here, Das said the development of the infrastructure at the Info valley as per the master plan would start within a month.

He said, discussion was on with all the Nodal departments concerned and the companies interested to set up their units in the valley were asked to apprise the authorities about the problems they are facing.

The Minister said efforts were on to make the Info valley-2 operational before June 2018. The info valley is being jointly developed by state owned IDCO and IT giant Infosys. The government has allotted 50 acres of land for the purpose.

The project will create job opportunities for six lakh people and generate Rs 1,500 crore in the first three years of its operation. Vending zone and food zone would be set up in the Info velly-2, sources said
