Former Bihar MLA Arrested In Assault Case

Former Bihar MLA and RJD leader Sudhansu Shekhar was Saturday arrested by the police in an assault case pending against him at Adampur police station in the district.

Police said an employee of district magistrate office Prasun Kumar Pushpa had lodged an FIR against the former MLA for assaulting him. When Mr Shekhar reached the police station to file a counter case against Pushpa the police arrested him.

The former MLA, who is president of RJD Dalit Cell, has also instituted a case against the employee in SC and ST police station and the matter was being investigated.
