Govt. Of India To Send 1 Tonne Potato To Nepal

In order to help Nepal earthquake victims, the Government of India has decided to send a tonne of potato to Nepal.

Bharatiya Janata Party’ MP and advisor to Union Ministry of Agriculture Mukesh Rajput Thursday here said the production of potatoes was on a very large scale and instead of dumping them the Centre will send it to Nepal. Over 10,000 trucks will be used to transport these potatoes to Nepal.

On April 25, an earthquake of 7.3 magnitude on the Richter scale claimed more than 8,800 lives.
