Hero bets big on Indian e-scooter market, brings in Flash at Rs 19,990

Augmenting to tap the Indian electric scooter market, two-wheeler giant Hero is targeting an electrically mobile nation equipped with style, economy, efficiency and utility in the e-automobile sphere.
The company today unveiled its e-scooter Flash, packed with 250 watt motor at Rs 19,990 here in the capital. The two-wheeler features a range of 65 km per charge. It is coupled with a 48-volt 20 Ah VRLA battery and comes with a complete short-circuit protection. The Flash also has an under-seat storage compartment.
Flash also comes equipped with magnesium alloy wheels, telescopic suspension and a full-body crash guard.While talking to UNI, CEO Global Hero Electric Sohinder Gill said, “We are targeting sales of around 10,000 e-scooters (Flash) over the next three months with an investment of Rs 330 crore and will bet for a bigger share in Indian market, if sales in the segment zooms.”
The company also plans for a launch of smart scooters soon which will be equipped with smart feature connectivity and is sure to hit the consumers taste”, added Gill.Hero Electric currently grabs 70 per cent Indian market share in the electric two-wheeler industry.
