Maken slams Kejriwal; calls him ‘part-time CM’ who is least bothered about Delhi pollution

The Congress Sunday slammed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and called him a “part time Chief Minister” who was least bothered about the alarming air pollution situation in the the National Capital.

Talking to a news channel, Delhi Congress president Ajay Maken said the pollution levels in Delhi had reached an alarming level but the Delhi Chief Minister was more focussed on gaining political mileage outside the Capital.

Maken said his party was supporting the Delhi Government’s initiatives of tackling air pollution but the “slew of measure announced by the Delhi Government were only short term measures”.

The Congress leader said Delhi at present needed solid long-term measures, which had not been delivered by Kejriwal and the “people of Delhi needed a full-time Chief Minister and not a part-time Chief Minister”.

Earlier in the day, Kejriwal convened an emergency Cabinet meeting over rising levels of air pollution in the National Capital. The Cabinet also decided several stringent measures to handle the grave situation of air pollution.
