Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan today parried questions on Shahrukh Khan’s remarks that there is ‘extreme intolerance’ in the country. Speaking at an event in the Capital here this evening, Salman, however, blamed the media for a heightened debate on intolerance in the country.

In response to repeated queries on his reaction on Shahrukh’s remarks, Salman, in a lighter vein, said, ”Shahrukh always says something and I have to give a clarification.” On a serious note, Salman, who was here to promote his upcoming film ‘Prem Rattan Dhan Payo’, said he believed that ”Hindus and Muslims are brothers”.

However, Salmans co-star in the film Sonam Kapoor was more forthright on the issue saying that ”the way some people are targeting others on basis of religion and caste is not right.” On this occasion, Salman also released the song of his film ‘Aaj Unhe Milna Hai’.

Speaking about the film, Salman said, ”it is a complete family film, the kind of films that Rajshri Productions are known for. Watching the film will bring a smile on your face no matter which mood you may be in.” Sonam said it was her good fortune that she was getting to work in a Rajshri film opposite Salman Khan.

Releasing on Diwali this year, ‘Prem rattan Dhan payo’ is one of the most awaited films of the year and bring the actor director pair of Salman Khan and Sooraj Barjatya together after a long time. They had earlier worked together in films like ‘Maine Pyar kiya’, ‘Hum Aapke Hain Kaun’ and ‘Hum Saath Saath Hai’.

The film also features Anupam Kher, Neil Nitin Mukess and Swara Bhaskar in key roles.
